Relief for Rafa as Toon capture Canary Murphy
RAFA BENITEZ is set to get his transfer bandwagon rolling again with the recruitment of Norwich midfielder Jacob Murphy.
The Newcastle boss has become increasingly frustrated by Toon’s inability to boost their promotion-winning squad.
The Canaries have spent days haggling over the valuation of 22-year-old Murphy (above). But Toon have increased their offer and believe a £12million deal will clinch the signing of the flying wide player.
Murphy has been capped at every level by England, from Under-18 to U-21.
Benitez, who takes his squad to Ireland next week, has seen Toon fail to recruit the likes of Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.
