Splatoon 2
Playing as a humanoid ‘Inkling’ who can transform into a squid, Nintendo’s quirky take on the thirdperson shooter sees you firing ink at your opponents – and the map itself.
In standard 4v4 online matches, the team that covers the most ground in ink wins.
Among the other modes there’s a substantial single-player campaign for those uninterested in online play, with a linear level structure complete with crazy and genuinely hilarious bosses.
Splatoon 2 is very similar to the first game, but for those that missed out, this is the perfect chance to get started.
And fans of the original are unlikely to be disappointed, with Splatoon action finally being playable on the Nintendo Switch.
Splatoon 2 provides all the colour, charm and originality you’d expect from a Nintendo game.
A great Call of Duty alternative for kids and more than enough fun for adults.
