‘Grenade plot teenage girl wed IS fighter using Skype’
A TEENAGER plotted a gun and grenade attack in the UK after she wed an Islamic State jihadist over Skype, it is claimed.
The 17-year-old, from London, allegedly wanted to “become a martyr”, and was given instructions on how to use the deadly arsenal.
She is also accused of trying to enlist accomplices.
The girl, who cannot be named, appeared before Westminster magistrates and her lawyer indicated a plea of not guilty. The teen was charged with the intention of committing acts of terror between December 1 last year and April 12. This allegedly included “communicating with a Daesh fighter in Syria and arranging to receive weapons to conduct an attack in the UK”.
The teenage girl was also charged in April with another count of plotting acts of terror, indicating a plea of not guilty.
She was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey next month.
