Spurs fear Reds will pick Rose

TOTTENHAM are facing a fresh fight to hang on to Danny Rose.

The left-back’s knee injury appeared to have put paid to any chance of him moving in this window.

But Manchester United and Inter Milan have reignited their interest, and Spurs are braced for fresh approaches. The 27-year-old is close to making his return to full training after his knee op and could play again before the end of the month.

Left-back remains a position which United still have question marks over with Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian filling the role during pre-season.

DAVID WAGNER wants Dimitri Cavare as his TENTH signing of the summer.

The Huddersfield boss is closing in on a £1.8million deal for the 22-year-old Rennes right-back as a replacement for crocked Martin Cranie.

With Cranie out for two months with a hip injury, Cavare is in line to make his Terriers debut at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The defender’s arrival will push Wagner’s spending spree to over £47m in three months.

Cavare (right) has impressed on trial with the Premier League newcomers and convinced Town he is worth a permanent switch.

Wagner said: “His trial was good, and now we will negotiate with Dimitri and Rennes to see if we can come to some sort of arrangement.” SIMON GRAYSON has warned Lamine Kone and Wahbi Khazri to “do the right things” if they are to earn moves away from Championship Sunderland.

Ivory Coast’s Kone and Tunisian Khazri have been tipped to follow Jeremain Lens out of the Black Cats.

Boss Grayson said: “They have to be respectful if they want to leave, they have to do the right things because if the club wanted, we could hold people to their contracts.

“We have a value for all our players and if nobody reaches that value, then they will stay with us.”
