Moggy home after 12 years thanks to chip
A CAT has been returned to her home after disappearing 12 years ago.
Tortoiseshell Hermione’s owner was located by the pet’s microchip.
Sue Hopkins moved four times but always updated her address with the tracking company.
Mum Sue said: “We were astonished, we couldn’t believe it. We are so happy to have her home.”
Hermione had lived with Sue in Redbridge, East London, but ran off after clashing with her other cat.
Last month, the RSPCA was alerted about a cat after a man died in Billericay, Essex,.
Sue, of Walthamstow, said: “It just goes to show you should always get your cat chipped and keep your details up to date – and never give up hope.”
