REID’S READY FOR FLAME.. AND FORTUNE
ON-FIRE Bobby Reid has become a social media sensation – thanks to Bristol City’s Twitter account.
The Robins forward made it seven for the season before the club’s press team announced his latest goal with an animated image of him celebrating with a fire extinguisher.
And Reid (above) said: “I’m enjoying it. I didn’t know what to do but just stumbled across a fire extinguisher and did it.
“But there are a few other funny celebrations as well to look out for – hopefully others can score and get out there.”
Derby appeared in control of this game thanks to Matej Vydra’s first-half penalty but collapsed in the second half.
Cauley Woodrow’s first goal for the Robins, Reid’s penalty and further strikes for Jamie Paterson and Famara Diedhiou made it seven points in a week.
Reid said: “That was my first professional penalty and I took it confidently into the corner. We just have confidence and belief.
“We need to take this form into the next few games.”
Inconsistent Derby have now dropped to 15th in the table after their woeful second half, following on from a 5-0 thrashing of Hull.
Rams defender Curtis Davies said: “It’s been a frustrating day.
“Obviously, our goal difference after Hull was brilliant and now we’ve gone and conceded four.
“I’m not going to make all these excuses and say that we are going to be better at things.
“Evidently, we were so good against Hull, but we weren’t today against Derby.
“It is about working towards the next game – and hopefully showing a better version of ourselves.”
