Government ‘should fall’ over Grenfell
THE Grenfell Tower fire was a “crime” that should bring down the Government, the head of the firefighters’ union declared.
Matt Wrack said ministers should have to give evidence to the public inquiry into the “atrocity”.
And his members may boycott the inquiry if it is a “pointless stitch-up”.
The Fire Brigades Union general secretary added: “To me it is a national political scandal.
“It is the sort of scandal on which governments should fall.”
Mr Wrack, speaking at a fringe event in Brighton, said one word summed up what went wrong before the fire – “profit”.
