Hav­ing the flu jab can help to pro­tect you and your fam­ily against flu this win­ter.

Flu is con­ta­gious and can be passed through cough­ing, sneez­ing or by touch­ing in­fected sur­faces or peo­ple. Most flu out­breaks usu­ally hap­pen in late au­tumn or win­ter.

The free NHS flu jab is avail­able in most Boots phar­ma­cies in Eng­land and Wales (sub­ject to avail­abil­ity and el­i­gi­bil­ity cri­te­ria. El­i­gi­bil­ity may be dif­fer­ent in the Chan­nel Is­lands and the Isle of Man). Those liv­ing in Scot­land and North­ern Ireland can, if eli­gi­ble, get the free NHS flu jab through their GP.

If you’re not en­ti­tled to a free NHS flu jab, a pri­vate Win­ter Flu Jab Ser­vice is avail­able in most Boots Phar­ma­cies (sub­ject to phar­ma­cist and stock avail­abil­ity. El­i­gi­bil­ity cri­te­ria and charges ap­ply).
