Jose admits he WON’T end his career at United and reveals his admiration for ‘fantastic and magical’ PSG

- BY DARREN LEWIS

JOSE MOURINHO has praised “magic” Paris Saint-Germain as he admitted he will not end his career at Manchester United.

The comments from the Old Trafford boss will concern his United chiefs after he recently claimed he wanted to spend the “next 15 years in Manchester”.

Mourinho is midway through his three-year deal – with the option of another year – but talks are yet to begin on an extension. And the

Portuguese, 54, said: “The only thing I can say is I’m still a coach with worries, with ambitions, and with the desire to do new things.

“And I don’t believe... no, I’m sure that I won’t end my career here.

“The other day, my son who lives in London went to Paris to watch a PSG match instead of Manchester.”

Asked why his son, Jose Jnr, had chosen that option, Mourinho said: “Because at the moment in Paris there is something special. Magic, quality, youth, it’s fantastic.”

Mourinho was appointed by United in May 2016 and led the club to a League Cup and Europa League double last season.

He is expected to be offered a lucrative new deal but has never spent more than four consecutive seasons at one club.

He has won titles in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain. But has not managed in France and Germany.

PSG boss Unai Emery is currently top of Ligue 1 but failed to win the title last season and let a 4-0 lead slip against Barcelona in the Champions League.

He is now under added pressure to make amends following the world-record arrivals of £200million Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
