Conley mocks ‘s***hole’ set as he is kicked off
COMEDIAN Brian Conley joked that the Strictly Come Dancing set is a “s***hole”, as he was given the boot from the series.
After losing the dance-off with Simon Rimmer, comic Brian, 56, labelled judge Darcey Bussell “horny” as he and dance partner Amy Dowden exited the show last night.
In edited footage that did not appear on the programme, the TV funny man laid into the show’s set at Elstree Studios. He told the audience: “Craig [Revel Horwood], I love this man. Darcey Bussell is the horny one. And Shirley [Ballas] is a legend. They only spend £25 on the toilet and this place is a s*** hole.” Craig and Darcey saved Simon and his partner Karen Clifton.
Fourth judge Bruno Tonioli did not appear on this weekend’s shows, as he was filming American spin-off Dancing With The Stars.
Speaking after his departure, Brian said: “It has been a wonderful journey and it’s a shame it had to end so quickly. But you know what? I made it to week five. I don’t think we did a bad job. I will miss everybody and Amy, who has been brilliant and so supportive, and I love her to bits.”
He joked: “Because we’ve had such a good time, we’re going to pretend we’re still in [the competition]. Next week, we are going to rehearse and our families are going to judge us.”
He vowed to keep dancing, saying: “It’s very much in my blood now.”
Amy, 26, said she enjoyed it all. “But most of all just being around Bri has been incredible. Bri and his family will be friends for life,” the dancer said.
Strictly drew in 10.3million viewers on Saturday night, while rival ITV show The X Factor had just 5.7million.
