AGUERO: SKY BLUES THE LIMIT

City’s record striker insists the goals will keep on coming as he focuses on firing team to glory

SERGIO AGUERO claims there is “no limit” to the number of goals he can score for Manchester City after setting a new record of 178 against Napoli on Wednesday.

And the Argentine said he was playing the best football of his career a year after being dropped by boss Pep Guardiola for the Champions League tie in Barcelona.

Aguero (right, scoring his record-breaking goal), 29, said: “There’s no limit. Every game is important. Obviously, when I score a goal, I’m very happy but above all a player is happy if his team wins.

“The limit is to keep going in this way and if there are more goals, all the better, but the important thing is to keep going in this way that I think is a good level.

“Can I get to 200 soon? Maybe, I hope so. Now I think I have to play the same way because we have a lot of games until December.

“I hope to score more but the important thing is to win every game.

“It depends on how many years City play this way and keep trying to score goals, but the most important thing is to win titles.” City plan to make a presentation to Aguero on the pitch before Sunday’s clash with Arsenal. Aguero, who joined City in 2011, added: “I think I am playing the best football of my career. This year we are playing very well, but the other years are different because we have a different manager, different players. “This year is new, new players came and we are very good. I think this squad is the best in the group.” Danilo said: “We are all very happy for him. We had a little bit of a party for him in the dressing room post-match. “Kun spoke a little bit, gave some words to us, because obviously it was a historic moment for him and all of us, as team-mates. “We are all very happy and hopefully he can keep scoring a lot of goals and helping us. “He is a world-class player but he knew how important the team-mates are to break that record. “So he said thanks to all of us – team-mates, staff – for all we did for him as well, and basically congratulated us and said thanks.”
