Going offline ... breaking your addiction to those screens

An Ofcom report says we spend an average of 25 hours a week on the internet. If you want to know how and when to switch off, here are some useful tips.

No phones at the table On 6

average, we look at our phones 110 times a day and 40% of us have been “smart snubbed” – ignored by someone looking at their phones at the table. So set aside your phone during meals, and keep it out of sight when you’re with friends.

face Lots of couples spend more time looking at their screens than each other, which can contribute to a lack of intimacy. So spend time connecting by turning off the TV, phone and computer, and do more things together.
