A STALKER who described himself as a “public executioner” in terrifying messages to Keira Knightley has been told he must remain in a psychiatric hospital indefinitely.

Mark Revill, 50, waited outside the star’s home and meowed through her letterbox, a court heard.

He posted images of a topless 10-year-old girl online, making the Pirates of the Caribbean star fear for her young daughter.

Under the name Mark Catipuss, he warned “my campaign of disobedience continues”, adding Knightley “would not get much help from the police”.

Even with a restraining order in place he sent menacing tweets to Knightley and her husband, ex-Klaxons star James Righton, 34. The actress, 32, beefed up security at her £3.9million London home after becoming too scared to go out.

In a victim impact statement she said Revill’s posts “had escalated in anger and were involving my family”. She added: “We feel unsafe in our own home”.

At Blackfriars crown court, Revill admitted breaching a restraining order, making and distributing indecent photos of children and sending menacing messages.

He was sectioned indefinitely under the mental health act having been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.

He has a previous conviction for indecent exposure after turning up naked at a hospital worker’s home. The Mirror is campaigning for a “stalkers’ register” so police can monitor dangerous offenders.
