Conman lands extra jail time
Fraudster Ross Peters was part of a land-banking gang that raked in £4.3million by duping investors.
Trading under names including Plott Investments, they sold near worthless bits of fields on the back of promises that the land would shoot up in value by getting planning permission – which never happened.
I told in 2015 how five ringleaders got 26 years in jail – Peters’ sentence being five-and-a-half years.
He was also hit with a £136,000 confiscation order, but has repaid barely £20,000.
Now the 32-year-old, from Bromley, South London, been given an additional 400 days inside, and is still liable for the debt and outstanding interest.
