So in love...
Meghan’s £56k dress for engagement pics
CUDDLING and stroking each other’s faces, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leave the world in no doubt of the depth of their love.
The couple are a picture of happiness in these engagement photos. Meghan looks stunning wearing a sheer – and quite daring – Ralph & Russo gown said to cost £56,000. It is not known if the Suits actress bought or was lent the black and gold floor-length dress with silk organza skirt and gold feather threadwork. She wears a more modest £690 Victoria Beckham cream cashmere sweater for the third picture.
Meanwhile, Harry, 33, is supersmart in a navy blue suit and black coat by British label Burberry.
But it was the body language that caught the imagination yesterday.
In one black-and-white snap Meghan, 36, smiles blissfully as she strokes Harry’s beard.
The couple lovingly touch in all three photographs, taken in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
Photographer Alexi Lubomirski, who has previously snapped Julia Roberts and Angelina Jolie, said: “I cannot help but smile when I look at the photos we took of them, such was their happiness together.”
Royal fans loved the pictures on social media. One user said: “The love is tangible. What a beautiful, happy couple.”
Kensington Palace tweeted: “The couple are so grateful for the warm and generous messages they have received during such a happy time in their lives.”
They released the photos as a thank you, the statement added.
Meghan and Harry will marry in St George’s Chapel, Windsor, on May 19 next year and are expected to be made the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan will become the first royal fiancée to join the Queen at Sandringham for Christmas and will walk to church with the royals on Christmas Day.
The Queen, 91, and Philip, 96, arrived in Norfolk by train yesterday – and they will stay on the royal estate until early February.
