Second ship seized as Kim fights oil ban
A SECOND ship has been seized by South Korea amid claims it was flouting UN sanctions by supplying oil to North Korea.
The tanker, Koti, with a Chinese and Burmese crew, was held in port by South Korean intelligence and customs.
It follows the seizure of the Lighthouse Winmore tanker in November, which was accused of transferring 600 tonnes of oil at sea to a North Korean ship.
Supplies to Kim Jongun’s rogue regime are being restricted after its nuclear or ballistic missile tests.
South Korean’s Foreign Ministry said: “The government has been in close consultations with related countries and ministries to implement sanctions by the UN Security Council.”
