MO-MENT OF RELIEF

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

SEAN DYCHE is relieved Mohamed Salah will be missing for Liverpool today but knows his Burnley defence still faces a tough test.

“He’s a fine player but it isn’t just about him,” said the Clarets boss. “The top teams in the division, the superpowers as I call them, have threats all over the place.

“You can’t just look at one player. Harry Kane, what a player, what a professional, but Tottenham ain’t bad elsewhere.

“You look around that team and think if he has a quiet day, they have enough to open things up. Liverpool are the same.”

Dyche (right) can call on James Tarkowski, available after serving his three-match ban, and joked that his centre-half must be worth “£900million” because Liverpool splashed out £75m on Virgil van Dijk.

Dyche claims Liverpool paying a world-record fee for a defender will hike prices everywhere.

“It affects the whole market and that’s the downside for smaller clubs. “Every club will now decide their centre-half has shot up in value.”
