I totally agree with your response to the woman who’s been having an affair with a married man. If he hasn’t left his wife after eight years, he never will (Dear Coleen, Nov 24).

It’s always the same story – “My wife doesn’t understand me” or “I’m in an unhappy marriage”, but he won’t end that marriage.

He has too much to lose – home comforts, money and so on. End it and see how he reacts. I bet he’ll come up with all sorts of excuses to keep the affair going, but he still won’t leave his wife! S J Kemp, Kent
