Luk back in anger at his City pen fail

- BY ADRIAN KAJUMBA

LUKA MILIVOJEVIC admitted “it was hard to sleep” after his stoppage-time penalty miss against Manchester City. The Crystal Palace midfielder (above) blew the chance to send City to their first league defeat of the season on New Years’ Eve when his spot-kick was saved. Milivojevic bounced back by scoring a dramatic late winner against Southampton on Tuesday but admitted: “It was very hard. It was hard to sleep after that. Yet no excuses.” Milivojevic thanked manager Roy Hodgson, his team-mates and Palace fans for backing him after he fluffed his lines against City. “They gave me support. I have to thank them. No one said anything negative,” he added. “I scored five in a row. I missed one and that happened only because I changed my decision – it was the last minute but I did not feel big pressure.”
