POLICE were called to a pub after a fight broke out between two women at an event for young Conservatives in Westminster.

Onlookers gasped as a young woman tapped another on the shoulder then poured white wine over her head.

Around 100 young Conservatives inside the Walkers of Whitehall pub saw the woman leap up screaming.

The two women, both 20, began fighting and scratching each other before being pulled apart by staff.

The scuffle is understood to have started over online taunts.

Marina Muttik, 22, who called the police, said: “It was unbecoming and totally uncalled for. Everyone was concerned about the violence.”

The Mirror this week told how drunk students at an Oxford University Conservative Association “Port & Policy” event chanted “I’ve got a better castle than you” after competing to down 43 glasses of port. Its president Timothy Doyle faced a motion on Thursday seeking to amend the constitution so a no-confidence vote can be brought against presidents. Meanwhile, an Oxford University dean has branded students “entitled” after they reportedly smashed glasses and abused staff at a college dinner. Dean Dr James McDougall warned the second-year students at Trinity College they face a “collective fine”. Writing on social media, one student said: “A minority of the so-called intellectual elite try to turn a traditional dinner into their version of Sodom and Gomorrah. Sadly, they even lack the wit for this.”
