DAVID Cameron has landed a plum job with a US medical firm... but can’t lobby ministers until July.

The ex-PM is a paid consultant for Illumina, a life-sciences company which was awarded a £77million contract by his government in 2014.

A parliament­ary watchdog said Mr Cameron can’t use privileged informatio­n from his time in No.10.

LAUGHTER filled the heir as Prince Charles larked about with showbiz stars.

At The Prince’s Trust and TKMaxx & Homesense Awards, he teased Cheryl Tweedy over her recent switch back to her maiden name.

He told the audience at the London Palladium: “I thought to myself some time ago, ‘Who’s Cheryl Tweedy?’

“I suddenly realised I knew the Cheryl bit but missed out on the Tweedy.”

Cheryl, 34, helped raise £1million for a Trust centre in Newcastle and Charles, 69, said: “I’m enormously grateful.”

The Prince also met Olivia Colman, 44, who is to play the Queen, in the next series of The Crown. Asked if Charles knew about her role, Olivia said: “No. He really didn’t.”

Actor Tom Hardy, 40, presented Daisy McDonnell, 22, with the Young Achiever of the Year award in associatio­n with the Daily Mirror.
