We have a lousy wall here now... it should be first line of defence DONALD TRUMP LOOKING AT BORDER WALL MODELS

DONALD Trump has inspected prototypes of his border wall and announced he wants a concrete one which is see-through.

Visiting Democrat-held California for the first time in his presidency, he accused the state of failing to take tough action on illegal immigration.

“We have a lousy wall over here now,” he said after noting the patched-up holes in the current fence on the Mexican border near San Diego.

“The border wall is truly our first line of defence,” he added, claiming the 30ft partition, initially costed at $21billion, would stop 99% of illegals.

And he claimed – despite reports of costs spiralling to $33billion (£24billion) – it would save “hundreds of billions of dollars, many, many times what it’s going to cost”.

On his tour of eight mockups, he said a concrete wall was best because it was the hardest to climb, but said it must be see-through.

The visit on Tuesday came a week after his plan to sue California over “obstructing immigration enforcement.”

Before arriving, the Republican chief tweeted “thousands of dangerous, violent criminal aliens are released” as a result of California’s policies.
