Now Morgan is dreaming of Wembley

- BY JAMES NURSEY

WES MORGAN lifted the Premier League trophy as Leicester skipper and dreams of hoisting the FA Cup aloft.

The Foxes captain, preparing to face Chelsea at home in tomorrow’s quarter-final, believes Antonio Conte’s men are beatable following their Champions League exit and successive away defeats at both Manchester clubs.

Now Morgan wants to pile on the misery for the Blues as Leicester look for silverware to add to their incredible 5,000-1 title-winning feat in 2016.

Asked if he dreamed of lifting the FA Cup on May 19 at Wembley, Morgan, 34, admitted: “Yeah, I do. It is a big competition and goes down in history.

“Many big teams dream of getting their hands on the FA Cup, it would be great. I have lifted the Premier League before but that was a long time ago.

“Those are great memories and when I retire I can probably reflect on it. But I am still playing football and want to concentrate on the next game.”

Leicester drew 0-0 at Stamford Bridge in January and lost to Chelsea 2-1 at the King Power in September.

But Morgan (below, left) – fresh from thumping bottom club West Brom 4-1 – said: “It is a quarter-final knock-out and we know what we can do on our day at home.

“We have played Chelsea many times now. We should be full of confidence and put a good game on. It is a big game for us, we want to progress.

“Once we get past this stage it is the semi-finals so we want to put on a good display and keep going in the Cup.”
