Golf pair hit consecutive holes in one

Daily Mirror - - NEWS - BY JAMES HORE

ACES Terry, left, and John GOLFING pals beat odds of 17 million to one as they both hit their first holes in one in consecutive shots.

Terry Huggins, 61, and John Hill, 57, were playing doubles when Terry sank a 165-yard shot with his six iron on the 14th hole.

Friend of 40 years John then used a seven wood to find the target on the par three hole at Langdon Hills golf course in Essex.

Terry, of Rainham, said: “When we realised, we were hugging each other.

“I didn’t realise the odds. It didn’t sink in until we got to the clubhouse. People were telling us what an achievement it was.”

John, of Hornchurch, added: “It was our first holes in one ever.”

Bookies William Hill said it would not have risked taking the odds. CLOSE Jermain & Bradley
