If you have had an early stage melanoma with no spread to your lymph nodes or any other part of your body, it’s highly likely that simply removing it will cure you.

Melanoma is more difficult to treat in the later stages. Of all those diagnosed with melanoma in England and Wales, about 86 out of every 100 people will live for at least five years. About 83 out of every 100 will live for at least 10 years.

Melanoma UK’s challenge and desire is to give patients and their families much-needed support during the very difficult times faced upon diagnosis. It aims to get them access to the best care available and support them throughout the journey.

Patients, families, carers and clinicians are at the heart of their work. The organisation is passionate about its work and has worked tirelessly to get results.
