ITALIANS FIGHT FOR MORATA
AC MILAN are rivalling Juventus to sign Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata. The £58million hitman (below) wants to go back to Italy after a disappointing first season in the Premier League. Milan have already approached the Blues and are seeking a loan with a view to a permanent deal. Chelsea are open to selling the marksman if they receive an acceptable offer. They are actively seeking a new striker with Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski a target. Morata, 25, would prefer a move to Juventus, where he spent two years between 2014 and 2016. The Spaniard lost his place to Olivier Giroud towards the end of last season.
