JOB OF THE WEEK

-

One lucky pundit can get paid to watch the 2018 FIFA World Cup and become an armchair reporter this summer.

Hisense UK, manufacturer of flat-screen TVs and home appliances, is searching for someone to provide match reports, comment and expert analysis on the tournament, from the comfort of their living room, to be published on the firm’s website and its social media channels.

The successful candidate will live out any football fan’s dream as they will earn £1,000 to cover the World Cup, taking place from June 14 to July 15, and receive a special edition U7A 4K TV (the official telly of the tournament) to watch all the action on.

Plus there will be one-to-one tutorials from a national sports journalist to provide advice.

To impress the judging panel and bag the job you’ll need to show an original writing style and personality – social media skills, journalism education, good communication and football knowledge will also help.

Arun Bhatoye of Hisense UK said: “This is a job for budding journalists or England supporters who want to turn their passion into an incredible paid summer job.”

You’ll need to show you are passionate for the game in your application which needs to be a 200-word or less explanation of why you should be chosen and include a description of your most incredible moment from a past FIFA World Cup. Email it to armchairreporter@hatchpr.co.uk by Tuesday (May 29th).
