TISS TRUE PEP’S A MATT FAN

PEP GUARDIOLA has revealed he worshipped Matt Le Tissier as a boy.

The Manchester City boss teed up with the Southampton legend, European No.1 Tommy Fleetwood and Peter Schmeichel in the pro-am at the BMW PGA at Wentworth yesterday.

The Spaniard (right), whose team finished 13th, said: “It’s a beautiful course.

I’m a 12-handicapper but I didn’t play to that today. It’s a lovely golf course but for professionals.

“It was a pleasure to play with Matt Le Tissier – one of my idols when I was a young boy.

“And of course to play with a pro like Tommy Fleetwood. How good he is you can’t imagine. When you’re there, you realise.”
