Turning red for the day

Liverpool take on the mighty Real Madrid in tonight’s Champions League Final. Liverpool’s a special city, Anfield’s a special ground and Jurgen Klopp’s a special manager.

Devoid of pomposity, more comical than egotistical, he brought a breath of fresh air to the Premier League when he arrived just over two-and-a-half years ago.

And all credit to Liverpool too, who gave him time to develop a team and a style of football that sees the club where it is today – among the best in Europe (take note Chelsea). I’d love Klopp to get his hands on the famous trophy tonight – he, and Liverpool, deserve it.
