DOYLE IS GETTING SO SHIRTY

- BY JAMES NURSEY

VETERAN Coventry midfielder Michael Doyle has vowed to keep his special kit if his side win their play-off final.

The Sky Blues face Exeter at Wembley in a one-off set of shirts, shorts and socks after running out of this season’s home kit.

Supplies were bulk ordered last year and with a large minimum order needed for more stock, the club have commissioned a one-off strip.

Doyle, 36, (above) who is in his second stint at Coventry, believes the former Premier League outfit has a feel-good factor back at the club after three relegations in 16 years.

He said: “The fans couldn’t be prouder of the way things are going.

“When you play for big teams in lower divisions they travel in high numbers away, and we’ve had to deal with that pressure all season.

“Hopefully, we can do the same on Monday and I will cherish my shirt.”
