Ron: Don’t dare compare Salah to me. I have a legacy.. and I am much taller!

CRISTIANO RONALDO has told Mo Salah: You can’t be compared to me.

Real Madrid superstar Ronaldo says he has won more, can head the ball better and is even taller than Liverpool forward Salah.

They have both scored 44 goals this season, but it is clear that Ronaldo believes he deserves to shine on the big stage in the Champions League final.

Ronaldo (above), 33, said: “People want to compare me with other players, I’m different to everyone. Salah is different to everyone, so we are different.

“He plays with his left, I play with my right, he is a little bit shorter. I play with my head – we are completely different. Although, I have to say he has had a fantastic season, but Saturday, let’s see.”

Ronaldo is chasing a third straight Champions League winner’s medal, his fifth in total.

But he claimed his mark on history will remain even if Real do

lose to Liverpool. Ronaldo added: “Of course, but my legacy is there, even if nothing changes, I will be there. It’s a special competition, in terms of me as an individual, I love to play in the Champions League.

“It will be a dream if we, and I personally win my fifth Champions League. It will be unbelievable.”

The rivalry between the big stars of both teams is very obvious even if one loves the spotlight and the other is understated.

Ronaldo relishes the big occasion, Salah, 25, (right) is just happy to play in it.

But Ronaldo’s team-mate Sergio Ramos played a dangerous game when he said: “Crissy and Lionel Messi are in another orbit.

“Some players are in fashion. Some disappear, some become great players. Salah is an enormous player. We will see what happens.”

Ironically, Ramos had warned that it was important to always be nice about opponents on the eve of big games just as Jurgen Klopp has been about Real. But Ramos’ comparison might have set up a big fall, although the Spain defender insisted that his side have the experience and desire to see off the Reds despite their inconsistencies in La Liga this season.

He said: “We have more than enough motivation in this scenario. We are highly motivated. We want to make history, win three trophies in a row. “We have beaten Juve, Bayern and big teams to get here. “Liverpool have great players and a great coach, they never throw in the towel. “We shut our ears to criticism as it can get you off the ball and that’s never good when you have to stay focused. “We have a great team, we all push together, you can’t have player power in the dressing room or things that might have a negative effect. “We all know that we are all important regardless of the role that we all play and our ambition is very clear – to keep on winning.”
