CHIEFS GO BAX TO THE FUTURE

ROB BAXTER insists Exeter will go on the attack in their third straight Premiership final.

The Chiefs are reigning champions, but rather than approach the game as defending what they already hold, they view it as a chance to break fresh ground.

Director of rugby Baxter (right) said: “From the moment we came back in, the most important thing we talked about was that we couldn’t cling on to being champions.

“Once you have won one competition, you then have to decide to build another successful team, another winning team hopefully.

“You set new standards, new goals, new targets and new ways of playing.”
