Clever app that gives gutsy TV hopeful a voice

-

LEE can crack his jokes thanks to a typeto-talk app called Proloquo2Go.

It can be used on an iPad or iPhone and allows him to tap symbols, which represent a word or phrase, or type in a sentence, which is converted to a voice. Words and phrases can be saved too.

But while Lee laughs about how he sounds, he does have multiple options.

There are 10 versions of British voices available, including “child”, “IndianBritish” and one that sounds uncannily like the Queen.

Lee believes he could have been a Geordie if he had his own voice, as he lives just 14 miles south of Newcastle.

But, sadly, he can’t choose that as an option yet as regional accents are yet to be developed.
