BAYLISS: FOCUS AND ENERGY IS KEY

TREVOR BAYLISS will take his players down Memory Lane to get England focused and energised before every Test.

Coach Bayliss (right) is frustrated with England’s roller-coaster ride in Test cricket at home, where they have lost at least one match in each series he has overseen.

And each time England have immediately bounced back with a win.

Bayliss said: “We’ve seen this before – we’ve played badly in the past and it’s really focused the guys for the next game. The trick is to get them focused and with that much energy for every game.

“We had a quiet chat after Lord’s, we didn’t have to say much. They had a very honest discussion in the changing room and they know they didn’t play well enough.

“It hasn’t been good enough for a little while.

“If we take it easy or don’t concentrate as hard, we can be embarrassed.”
