IT’S LOOKING DELE DODGY

-

DELE ALLI is a major doubt for England’s World Cup clash with Panama on Sunday lunchtime.

The 22-year-old Tottenham midfielder went for a scan yesterday at a private hospital in St Petersburg and it confirmed he has suffered a minor thigh strain.

Alli’s injury will be managed over the next few days – but that means he is unlikely to train and may now miss the second group game.

England boss Gareth Southgate readied Fabian Delph to come on in the first half against Tunisia.

But Alli was desperate to stay on and insisted he was OK before being subbed late in Monday’s 2-1 win.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek replaced Alli and could now be favourite to start in his place with Delph set to fly home to be with his expectant wife when she gives birth.
