She contacted husband of star’s PA Lisa told ‘name price to move on’
ANT McPartlin’s ex feared he was dating her pal months before she learned the truth.
Lisa Armstrong is said to have contacted Anne-Marie Corbett’s husband hoping for answers after seeing pictures of the pair.
Ant is now begging her to sign a divorce. A pal said: “He will give her entirely what she wants.”
THIS was the picture that aroused Lisa Armstrong’s suspicions that Ant McPartlin was dating her pal Anne-Marie Corbett – months before the bombshell truth came out.
The snap, taken in March, shows her ex carrying a lunch his new love and PA is said to have packed for him at his flat in London. She was also seen putting out his rubbish on the same day.
Lisa only discovered at the weekend that Anne-Marie, 42, was his girlfriend.
And the 41-year-old is said to have contacted Anne-Marie’s estranged husband Scott over social media about the matter after seeing the pictures.
A friend said: “It was a niggling feeling at the back of Lisa’s mind. She reached out to Scott to try and get answers.
“When the news came out, it all clicked into place. She was heartbroken.”
Mum-of-two Anne-Marie split from Scott in October last year but insiders insist Ant was not involved in her marriage breakdown. The I’m a Celebrity star broke up with Lisa 10 months ago, long before he started dating his new love, of New Malden, South London.
Lisa claimed she only found out on Twitter about the relationship.
But friends of Ant’s insisted he has done nothing wrong.
One said: “If she [Lisa] had suspicions what does it matter? They have split up. They are getting divorced.
“Ant is living in another house. They are both free to get on with their business. They may not like it, or be happy about it, but that’s the way it is.”
Ant, 42, and Lisa are now in the midst of an increasingly bitter divorce as their legal teams hash out how to split his £62million fortune.
Friends claim he is ready to settle although she has been dragging her heels over recent months amid hopes the couple could still get back together. Lisa refused to sign the statement from Ant confirming the divorce in January.
His pal added: “She is going to get a lot of money. There is no way he is trying to stop her getting money and will give her entirely what she wants.
“If she rang up now and said, ‘I would sign the divorce tomorrow but I want this’ he would be like, ‘There it is, have it.’ But he can’t get to that point.”
A friend of Lisa’s said: “She and Ant no longer talk to each other directly. They have to put everything through their solicitors because every time they talk it becomes a blazing row.
“She’s become numb to the torment of losing her marriage, and news about Anne-Marie has pushed her to the edge.
“She’s not herself. We’re all worried about her. This has flattened her.”
