Jacko dad, 88 ‘very frail and on deathbed’
MICHAEL Jackson’s father “does not have long to live” just days ahead of Monday’s ninth anniversary of the superstar’s own death.
Retired talent manager Joe Jackson, 88, banned his family from visiting or accessing his medical records after taking a “turn for the worse”.
Son Jermaine, 63, confirmed his dad, who has an undisclosed illness, is on his deathbed. He said: “He’s very, very frail.”
The father-of-11, who is believed to have dementia, had refused to see family, including wife Katherine and daughter Rebbie, but on Tuesday night relented.
Joe managed sons Jackie, Tito and Jermaine in the early 60s. Younger siblings Marlon and Michael joined and they went on to become The Jackson 5.
