Zoo peacock attacks girl

A GIRL of six was rushed to hospital “covered in blood” after a peacock attacked at a petting zoo.

The youngster was mauled on her neck and nose by the bird at Paignton Zoo, Devon.

Her father, who lives in Torquay, said: “My wife turned her back for a minute and we heard a scream. My daughter was covered in blood. It could so easily have been an eye.”

Bosses put up a warning at the entrance after the father called for one.
