Lifeboat OAP is ‘dumped’

THE family of lifeboat volunteer Paul Staveley is angry he has been forced to “retire”, aged 70.

Paul has been at the Bridlington, East Yorks, station for 48 years. His son Alex said: “I am very hurt at what they’ve done.”

The RNLI said shore crew normally retire at 65.
