Ladies’ Day is gust perfect..

THE feathers fly as the wind plays havoc with this racegoer’s flamboyant red hat on Ladies’ Day at Royal Ascot.

And with the plumage covering her eyes she would have struggled to see X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, 29, also having to make sure the gusts did not catch her chic black number. But looking utterly unruffled was the Queen, beaming as she waved to the crowds and very much in the pink in a Stewart Parvin outfit.

And her granddaugh­ter Princess Eugenie, 28, turned to royal favourite designer Erdem with a £831 Bernette floral-print silk crepe de Chine dress. She was at the races with sister Beatrice, 29.

Punters who avoided the stong winds showed lots of style as the sun beat down.

Let’s hope they all found picking winners an absolute breeze too...
