SWISS READY TO ROLL INTO LAST 16

-

SWITZERLAND are ready to follow up their stunning draw with tournament favourites Brazil and make a claim on the knockout stage.

Vladimir Petkovic’s side fell behind before claiming a 1-1 draw with the Samba Kings in their opening game and now have their sights on Serbia in

today’s Group E clash. Petkovic said: “The first match is always the most difficult match because when you come to the first match you don’t really know how the team is feeling, if they are in top form or not.

“In the second match you either have more certainty or more doubts.

For us the second match is going to give us more certainty.” Serbia have attacking flair but with a more physical edge and Petkovic said: “We can’t just play physically. We also have to run more than our opponent and that’s what we did against Brazil.”
