He decides to return to the scene of the crime with Bontemps (Stuart Bowman), but begins to suspect that the valet is part of the conspiracy.

Meanwhile, word from Spain contradicts what the Queen has claimed, suggesting her complicity in the plot to wed Eleanor to the Spanish king.
