Time Depp stopped walking the plonk

I was disappointed to read the story on Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp (Mirror, June 22). He’s a talented actor who has made a fortune from his film roles but to boast about spending more than $30,000 a month on wine isn’t big or clever – it’s obscene.

Most people don’t earn that amount in a year, yet he blows it on pouring booze down his throat. What a waste. Do something useful with your money Johnny, instead of necking expensive wine! Ken Howard, Plymouth, Devon
