Old hut set to make couple a shed load

- BY MILES O’LEARY

SCENIC The converted hut A COUPLE are marketing a beach hut they bought for £125,000 five years ago at £850,000.

Katherine Wooler, 44, and husband Adam, 52, persuaded planners to let them rebuild the 300 sq ft shed on the Cornish coast.

They installed a hot tub, modern kitchen, heated outdoor shower and doors that offer views over Whitsand Bay, locally known as “Cornwall’s forgotten corner”.

Last year alone, it raked in £123,000 from wealthy holidaymakers.

Mum Katherine said: “The chalet had to be a similar size to the previous one bedroom chalet, but it was the size of the plot that really attracted us and the sense of isolation.”

The couple are now moving to New Zealand.
