Take a Peaky at TV gong line-up

Peaky Blinders, Love Island and Poldark are among the nominees for the TV Choice Awards this year.

Set in the Birmingham criminal underworld, Peaky Blinders has nods for best drama series, best actor for Cillian Murphy and actress for Helen McCrory, right.

Poldark is up for best drama series, as are Doctor Foster and Outlander. Poldark star Aidan Turner will compete with Murphy for best actor alongside Doc Martin’s Martin Clunes and Casualty’s William Beck.

Also up for best actress are Call The Midwife’s Linda Bassett, Brenda Blethyn for Vera and Our Girl’s Michelle Keegan.

Dating show Love Island takes on First Dates, I’m A Celebrity and The Island With Bear Grylls for best reality show.
