WARWICK Davis is standing in the middle of a vast wilderness in the Lake District battling with a map that is bigger than him.

Sky Atlantic, 9pm Self-help books at the ready, there is enough emotional baggage here to weigh down a few suitcases.

This is season four of the dark drama about well, obviously, an affair, and the fallout for everyone connected to the lovers – Noah (Dominic West) and Alison (Ruth Wilson).

But a lot has happened since then. Now everyone is trying to move on, but clearly no one is moving on at all.

Ruth teases: “This season expect more affairs, more lovers and major drama as someone goes missing.”

Part one of this episode is Noah’s story. He has moved to LA to be closer to his kids, but clashes with ex-wife Helen (Maura Tierney) over getting time with them. He doesn’t seem happy.

Part two sees Helen doing a lot of deep breathing – she doesn’t seem that happy either.

Expect intense scenes as everyone is utterly tortured and the plot is as twisting and emotionally disturbing as ever.
