TIRED TIMO’S ON KROOS CONTROL

TIMO WERNER insists he can carry the goalscoring burden for Germany – even though he has yet to get off the mark in the World Cup. The RB Leipzig striker (left) is running himself into the ground so much in Russia that he was too tired to celebrate when Toni Kroos kept the holders in the tournament. He said: “I like to think I am helping the team in other ways. “I won the free-kick which Toni scored against Sweden, but after I was fouled I had nothing left.”
