Farage denies ‘Brexit hints’

NIGEL Farage helped hedge fund managers benefit from the Brexit result with premature and incorrect admissions of defeat, it has been claimed.

Former UKIP leader Mr Farage has rejected the idea his statements were meant to move markets.

A probe by Bloomberg claims exit polls on the referendum had been run to help investors bet on sterling’s performance.

There is no suggestion any such activity breaches any rules or laws as long as polling data was not made public before polls closed.
