‘Give military £20bn more’
MPs are calling for an extra £20billion a year for defence to protect against Russian aggression.
The Commons Defence Committee urges spending on the military should rise from 2% of GDP to 3%.
It said in a report: “To fill existing black holes in equipment and elsewhere, defence spending would have to rise to 2.5% of GDP.
“However, to improve capability, spending would need to rise closer to 3%.”
