LANZINI OUT FOR SEASON

- EXCLUSIVE BY DARREN LEWIS

WEST HAM forward Manuel Lanzini will miss ALL next season with a knee injury.

Lanzini (right), 25, was distraught when he heard the full extent of his problem. In total, he is likely to be out for 15 months.

He picked up the injury training with the Argentina squad a week before the World Cup began. The attacking midfielder was told initially he had ruptured cruciate ligaments.

But the Hammers now say his injury is a ‘cruciate plus’, ruling him out for far longer than previously thought.

Lanzini was a key player for West Ham last season, sparking suggestions he would attract the interest of bigger clubs.
